System requirements - workstation and network

Traffic runs on both Mac and PC platforms with seamless integration. In creative companies you will often find multiple operating systems, Traffic was designed to use OSX, Windows XP and even Vista within the same network.

Remote access - Traffic can be accessed from anywhere with a valid Traffic licence. This means that you can access your Traffic files offsite, and we support you remotely, with fast turnarounds and less down time.

Mac OS X Hardware

• Mac OS X Hardware Processor: G4 or G5 (Intel recommended
• RAM: 512 MB (1 GB recommended)
• CD-ROM drive and hard disk drive

Mac OS X Software

• Mac OS X 10.3.9 or Mac OS X 10.4

Windows Hardware

• Processor: AMD 2 GHz / Pentium III 1 GHz or higher (Intel Xeon also ok)
• RAM 256 MB (512 MB recommended)
• CD-ROM drive and hard disk drive -delete
• SVGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution video adapter and display)

Windows Software

• Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4)
• Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
• Windows Vista

System requirements – servers

The Traffic server application can take up to 250 clients, and even though we recommend a stand-alone server, a Mac-mini, or a desktop PC is normally enough. A majority of our bigger clients have large servers for file sharing or other applications and the Traffic server runs smoothly along side these as minimal resources are taken up.

• RAM: 1 GB (2 GB recommended)
• Hard disk: 2 GB of available disk space

Mac OS X Software

• Mac OS X 10.4.9 or Mac OS X 10.5.1
• Mac OS X Server 10.4.9 or 10.5.1

Windows Hardware

• Processor: Pentium IIII 1 GHz or higher (Intel Dual Cor)
• RAM: 256 MB (1 GB recommended)
• Hard disk: 2 GB of available disk space

Windows Software

• Windows 2000 Server SP4
• Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition
• Windows XP Professional SP2

Notes:

• For a very small network (4 or fewer users) the non-server version of OS X will suffice to host FileMaker Server. However the added functionality and speed of the server software will often outweigh the modest additional cost.

• For automatic generation of PDF estimates, schedules etc. users require a full copy of Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or later.
