What kind of company can use Traffic?
Traffic was designed for creative businesses, and our clients are Design, Marketing or Advertising agencies. If you manage jobs or projects and time then Traffic is for you.
Traffic maps the process of how a creative company works from job costing, timesheets and time management, project management, job and staff scheduling, reporting, sales management and forecasting through to purchase ordering, billing, statements and financial reporting. Traffic also links directly to Sage, QuickBooks or MYOB.

We have both Mac and PC users in our office – how does that work?
Traffic is cross platform and works the same on a PC and a Mac. We get you to set up Traffic on a machine in your office - so you have access to it directly. This machine acts as a server for Traffic and can be either a Mac or a PC. We can supply you with our minimum specification requirements for this. We also suggest that you have only Traffic running on this machine but this does not have to be the case.
The Sohnar install team will talk you through our suggestions for best performance. Each individual user will have a Traffic opener on their desktop and once they open Traffic it should remain open during the day along with any other applications they are using.

What software does Traffic use?
Traffic is built on FileMaker Pro - it has a number of additional plug-ins and features but those are all supplied to you with the Traffic system. Traffic is priced inclusive of all FileMaker costs, training and set up.
How does the installation of Traffic work?
The Traffic installation process is managed by the Sohnar installation and support team. The first step is to give you access to the Traffic Preloader. This is a tool for gathering the information we need from you to set up your Traffic system - this includes your staff, rates, types of jobs you work on, terms & conditions, fonts, logos, clients and suppliers amongst other things.
Once the preloader is completed you send it back to us for testing. The next step is to load and customise your version of Traffic. This system will then be used by the team for the last part of your training. Our qualified trainers will give you a training plan, training can be either online or at your offices.
We will set up your system to ensure that Traffic is up and running on your network and that we have set backups of your system.
If you have support questions you can either call, email or access our support tickets from the client area of our website. We have a service level agreement that we agree with you for our response to questions and support tickets.

How long will it take to get Traffic up and running?
The installation time of Traffic depends on how quickly you want to move - on average the Traffic installation, training, and roll out takes around 4 weeks. It can be slower or faster than this, and depends on how quickly you get your data back to us. Once we have your data we set up the system, and customise all the outputs for you. We then come back with your training and roll out plan. If you have an idea of your timescales and share this with us, we will work on meeting your deadlines and timescales.
Traffic comes with support, maintenance and updates - how does this work?
Sohnar run a quarterly update and release of Traffic. This can include new features, updates or improvements. We email you a list of new elements in Traffic, you then let us know if you would like to update your Traffic system.
If you would like an update to the new features you send us your system at the end of your working day, our support team will then update the system with all of your data.
In addition we give you access to online videos for your team to watch. This will give them a better idea of the new features and how to apply them to their working life with Traffic. You can also sign up for a web cast of the new features. |
Once we are up and running what if we need new users for Traffic?
New users are added by Sohnar - you simply email us the name of the new person. We will add them to your system and set their access privileges which you of course can change at a later date.
What type of reports can I get from Traffic?
Traffic can provide a wide range of standard reports from project or job reports to financial reporting as well as time and staff reports. We can also create custom reports specifically for you. All of the Traffic reports can be exported to Excel.
Can Traffic manage the studio and schedule staff and jobs?
Yes, Traffic has both a job schedule and a staff schedule which can detail what each member of the team is working on. In addition Traffic can manage work requests, those things that come back into the studio and need a rapid turn around. Work requests can either be sent directly to a team member or via a studio manager to manage the delivery.
Does the Traffic system send out documents - and does it hold copies?
Yes - Traffic creates PDFs of Estimates, Schedules and Purchase Orders all of which can be emailed directly from Traffic. You can also create other specific documents and all of these are held in Traffic for anyone of the team to see at a later date if need be. These are all personalised with your company logo and font on them.
Can I set access privileges of what each member of staff can see and do?
Yes - within the administrator area of Traffic you can set each users access privileges - this can either be to a specific job profile or defined for each staff member.

How much does Traffic cost?
Traffic is priced based on the number of users. We price inclusive of set up, customisation and training. In order to give you a fixed price we need to know how many users and also where you are based. Drop us an email with your details and we will come back to you with a price for your business.
